Spokane County's Free Tax Preparation Program

Spokane County's free tax preparation program is available to low- to moderate-income tax filers who reside in Spokane County. This program is made possible through Spokane County United Way's CASH Coalition and by the work of the AARP's Tax-Aide and the IRS' VITA, both of which are volunteer-based tax preparation services.

Refund Pathways

Refund Pathways was created by Spokane County United Way's CASH

Coalition. The mission of Refund Pathways is the same as of the CASH Coalition: provide opportunities for low-income working families to acquire, save, and grow their money/assets. The vision is also the same as the CASH Coalition's vision:

• Promote the economic well-being of low-income working families.
  

• Ensure that low-income working families are aware of, understand, and take advantage of available asset-building resources.
  

• Help free Spokane neighborhoods of predatory financial practices.
  

• Provide low-income communities with a greater economic asset base.
